Part of our project is the sharing of our research with the local community and schools. Our work with schools has included organising WW1 artefact handling sessions, holding Q&A sessions about WW1 with the children, giving talks about the memorial project, teaching about the meaning and importance of memorials and loaning WW1 information displays. All of this is free for schools thanks to the HLF money the project received.
Any schools in Liverpool that are interested in any of the above can use the 'contact us' details to email Amanda and find out more.

REMEMBRANCE PROJECT
ADOPT A WAR MEMORIAL PROJECT
The War Memorials Trust is gathering information on all war memorials, aiming to create a comprehensive list of memorials and their condition. If your school would like to take part in this project we can offer a trained War Memorial Trust volunteer to come to your school to explain about the project and demonstrate how to record memorials, or even accompany you on a walk to your local memorials. Contact Amanda Taylor via the 'contact us' tab above for more details.
